Peoples
- Elves
- The elves are slim and elegant arboreal primate. They are nearly hairless
(except for their heads) and considered very comely by human standards. Their
forest existence has made them dextrous and attuned their senses.
- Humans
- Very similar to the Elves, the Humans are recent arrivals to these islands.
Not more than a score of generations ago, the first Human boats arrived in the
archipelago. From where exactly remains a mystery. They spend at least half
their lives at sea, but always come back to the archipelago as no other land
can be found and they always need wood for boats.
- Locath
- The Locath are an aquatic people that occupy shallow coastal waters. Their
appearance is mostly like a fish, but they have vaguely humanoid proportions
and limbs. They are a shy and reserved semi nomadic people, so much of their
culture is unobserved by outsiders.
- Lizardfolk
- The Lizardfolk appear much as they sound. Their faces resemble an iguana,
and their bipedal bodies resemble a raptor type dinosaur. They inhabit swamps,
bogs, and marshes, and can hold their breath for a long period of time but are
not truly aquatic.
- Merfolk
- The Merfolk are a young aquatic people of mysterious unnatural origins.
Their features are obviously chimeric, a trait not found in creatures native to
the archipelago. Their upper bodies are humanoid (human or elf usually), but
their lower features are drawn from sea creatures (fish and dolphins are common,
but others such as squid, eel, or lobster have occurred).
- Smallfolk
- Smallfolk are a small reptilian people. They are nocturnal desert dwellers
who've begun living underground during the day. Their features look similar to
a humanoid gila or beaded lizard, however, they are somewhat thinner and have
longer limbs. Smallfolk are closely related the the people
known as Kobolds on other worlds.
