Pop-up Ads seem to be getting more widespread, more sophisticated, and more
annoying. There is one school of thought that says, "Hey, there is a lot of cool stuff on the Internet for free which is
paid for by advertising. If we block the advertising then we will have to pay for more things." They have a point, but
still, some of the pop-up ads just go too far. They may hide down in your tray or worse yet they may spawn new pop-ups or new
browser windows when you try to close them. Sometimes you feel like ripping the power cord out of the wall to stop them all. To download the Pop-Up Stopper Pro click on the link below: Netscape users click

Installing the Pop-up Stopper A. Installing the Pop-up Stopper Pro Top 1. Download Software. After clicking on the Download Now! link above you will see a dialog box similar to the one shown below:
Click on Open. 2. Installation Wizard. The installation wizard will now begin. Click Next on each screen in the installation wizard until you see Finish. Click on Finish. 3. Retrieving your Activation Code. Enter in your email address as shown below to receive your activation code:
Click on Next. 4. Entering your Activation Code. You must now check your email to get your activation code. You should receive an email like the one shown below: Note: The Code shown below is for demonstration purposes only. You will receive your code in an email.

Click on Next. The installation process is now complete. You should now see the Pop-up Stopper toolbar in the upper left hand corner of Internet Explorer as shown below:
If the toolbar does not appear then click on View up at the top of Internet Explorer then Toolbars. Ensure that there is a check next to the Pop-up Stopper toolbar as shown below:
Note: Internet Explorer 6.x users also need to make sure that the "Enable third-party browser extensions" option is checked. This option can be found under the Tools->Internet Options... menu. Remember to restart your browser (open/close) if this option is not checked! See below:
B. Using the Pop-up Ad Stopper Top Hint: Some links that you click on may be designed to open a new browser window. The Pop-up Stopper may block these links from opening. You can hold down the Control (Ctrl) key to temporarily disable the Pop-up Stopper to allow certain links on web pages to work properly. The Alt key or Shift key can also be specified for this function if desired by going to Options > Preferences > Pop-up Control > Pop-up Control Mode - Additional Options. 1. On/Off. The Pop-up Stopper will be turned on by default. When it is turned on it will appear as shown below:

2. Sound. You can be notified by sound when a pop-up is being blocked. You can toggle sound on and off with the button shown below:
You can change the sound the Pop-up Blocker makes using the button indicated below:
There are six more sound choices available for free. More sounds are available for a small price at: http://www.panicware.com/popupcenter.html 3. Allow pop-ups from selected sites. You can exempt sites from pop-up blocking with the button shown below:
If you click on this button while on a certain web site this site will be added to your Allowed Pop-ups list and you will get pop-ups that are from this domain. To view or edit this list click on Options > Pop -up Control > then Selected Web-Sites. You will see the list as shown below:
You can clear the whole list or remove selected domains as desired. 4. Options. The Options button (see below)
allows the user access to various other Pop-up Stopper preferences. There is also a Help function which has information about using the Pop-up Stopper. If you click on Options then Preferences you will see the following screen:
4a. General Preferences. Locking/Unlocking the toolbar. If you like the default location, which is under the address bar, you can lock the toolbar so the Pop-up Stopper is always in the same place each time you start your web browser. If you would like to move the Pop-up Stopper to another location then you need to uncheck this box. To move the Pop-up Stopper to another location place your cursor on the thin gray vertical bar which is to the left of where it says: "Galaxy - Panicware Pop-up Stopper" as shown below:
You will see your cursor turn into double horizontal arrows. Hold down the left mouse button and you will then be able to drag the Pop-up Stopper to another location. Hiding the Pop-up Stopper. If you wish you can completely hide the Pop-up Stopper to save space on your display. You can do this by placing a check on the Auto-Hide box. If you wish to view to the Pop-up Stopper at any time you simply hold down the Control (CTRL) key on your keyboard. 4b. Customizing the Pop-up Stopper Toolbar. If you click on the Customize Toolbar button on the lower right of the General screen you will see the following screen:
You can add or remove the Toolbar buttons as desired. 4c. Pop-Up Control. The Pop-Up Control tab includes Pop-Up Notification, Pop-Up Control Mode, Allow Pop-Ups List and Pop-Up Statistics. Pop-Up Notification. You can turn the sound notification on and off here and also select different sounds. Pop-Up Control Mode. Pop-Up Control Mode Additional Options. The are two additional options under Pop-up Control Mode. These are Pop-up Allow Keys and Automatic Error Dialog Closing. Pop-Up Allow Keys Allowed Pop-Ups List. Pop-Up Stopper Pro keeps a list of the
domains for which you choose to allow pop-up windows. You may use the Remove Domain button if you no longer wish to allow
pop-ups from a listed domain. You may use the Clear list button to clear the entire list of allowed domains.
